Stage Troupers

To help promote STAGES Performing Arts Youth Academy Donald Cleland gathered 11 kids ranging in ages from 9 to 17.  The acting group calls themselves, Stage Troupers and their mission is to promote STAGES through song, dance, acting and being positive ambassadors for the academy. 

Their first production is a 35 minute mini-musical entitled, ARF.  Words and music by John Jacobson and John Higgins.  This delightful child friendly musical is about a group of dogs hoping to become Best in Show at the Rose City Classic Dog Show.  Through song, dance and dialogue they discover compassion and courage. 

Stage Troupers will be performing throughout the summer and fall at local fairs, markets, schools, etc. 

You and your family will want to make sure you catch Stage Troupers somewhere this summer.  Below is a list of scheduled performances.  Check back often as we update this list:

• June 26 – Stellar Dance Studio Recital.  Venetian Theatre in Hillsboro.  2:00 pm.  $10.00
• July 3 – Appearing in Hillsboro’s Fourth of July Parade
• July 15 – Preview of the show at the Showtime at Shute.  6:50.  Shute Park, Hillsboro
• July 20 – Tuesday Marketplace, Hillsboro
• July 24 – Celebrate Hillsboro, Tom Hughes Plaza, 10:15
• August 1 – Washington Co Fair 11:00 and 1:00.
• August 3 – Tuesday Marketplace, Hillsboro
• August 7 – Hillsboro Farmers’ Market, Downtown Hillsboro
• August 19 – Pics at the Plaza – Tom Hughes Plaza, Hillsboro 7:00 pm
• September 2 – Pics at the Plaza – Tom Hughes Plaza, Hillsboro 7:00 pm
